Newsflash: you’ll never figure life out πŸ€ͺ

Image
New post ahead: πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ₯°  The more time I spend on this earth and the older I get, I’m starting to realize more and more things. Who would’ve thought? Haha The more people I meet and talk with, make me realize that no one, not one single person has a clue what the future holds. 🀷🏻‍♀️They don’t know what their life will look like or what comes next. They might’ve had a plan, but it didn’t go anywhere near how they thought it would go. But nonetheless, they’re grateful for what they’ve learned and where they are now. I don’t know why, but growing up I always thought that at some point, you get to this place of knowing what’s ahead. Of knowing what your life will be like, and of what the future will hold. That you finally figure it all out. 😜 But that’s just not the case. Granted, I was a little sad to find this out πŸ˜… but then I started to feel better because I knew I wasn’t the only one that felt that way.  It’s just not how life works. But this life does give us an oppo...

Strong testimonies & sweet experiences!

Image
A couple months ago, I was messaged on Instagram with an opportunity to speak at a girls camp come August. This sweet soul said she followed me and loved everything I had posted, which was so sweet of her! πŸ₯° I jumped at the opportunity and said “of course! I’d love to speak.” Months passed and last night was my opportunity to speak. I was able to have my dad come with me and we had such a special experience together with these young women. πŸ’• I had prepared a few thoughts that had come to me over the course of the couple months, but asked Heavenly Father to guide me. That I’d say what He would want me to say. πŸ™πŸ» He is aware of these girls.  He knows what they’re dealing with and their struggles.  He knows them, because He loves each and every one of them. ♥️ I felt that love so strongly! My heart was full last night! After I spoke, I stayed for testimony meeting. Boy, were these sisters spiritual powerhouses! I needed to meet these sisters, their leaders, and the prie...

Commune with God ♥️πŸ™πŸ»

Image
Every time I travel, I’m always surprised who else in the world is traveling too. Who’s flying out the same day as I am, who’s going to the same location or different location as I am. Every time I’m around so many people, my first thought is that Heavenly Father knows each and every one of them, just like He knows who I am.   He knows everything about their life. Their likes, dislikes, their struggles, their successes, what their worrying about, what makes them happy, and etc. I’m really grateful that my Heavenly Father knows me, really knows me. I’m grateful that when I pray, I never get a busy signal or a “please try again later” answer. When I pray I have His complete and full attention.  πŸ™πŸ»  He wants to help me in every aspect of my life. What I care about, He cares about.  ♥️ Being single has given me a lot of time to think about my life and what I really want- in life and in my future spouse. The most important thing that I want is that we both have a deep r...

Into the unknown!

Image
New post: Into the unknown!  Save yourself some worry, and read it πŸ₯°πŸ‘‡πŸ» Recently the topic of trust and obedience has come up a lot as I’ve been talking to some of my friends lately. Why they think I’m “good” at that, I’ll never know, πŸ˜… but I am trying my best to be that person- a faith filled, God trusting woman. πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ™πŸ» Amidst all the craziness in the world and all the unknown, for some, It’s hard to find peace and trust God in all the uncertainty. There’s so many reasons swirling around us that make it easy to doubt, question if God is there, or simply find the good.  But trust me, my friends-God is there. ♥️ He is the silent teacher at times during trials, gently reaching forth His hand in times of need, and even sending other people to answer our prayers. πŸ™πŸ» “Into the unknown” has been my theme the last year or so. (Frozen fans anyone? πŸ₯Ά)The meaning and song really hit me and has resonated with me so much. Silly, I know. But God works in mysterious ways....

Life lessons learned πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ–€

Image
Hi friends! How are you? How’s your week been? You’ll definitely want to read this πŸ–€ These thoughts have been on my mind for a while now and I wanted to share them with all of you. πŸ₯° It has been nothing short of a rollercoaster 🎒 since mid April last year. 2020 was and has been, a train wreck for all of us that just keeps to continue on and on. It’s been the hardest year(s) of my life. But it’s also been a place of proving, self discovery, and growth. What year(s) was that for you? It’s easy to be disappointed at God for the things that you want, but don’t receive, or the things that don’t work out the way you want/thought/or think should happen.  It’s easy to ask WHY have all these things happened to me, and what we did to deserve them. Life is tough and harder than I ever thought it would be. But through it all I’ve found out a lot of things about myself, what I’m capable of, how I should and should not spend my time, whats really important in my life, who my true blue f...

Sunday will come πŸ™πŸ»♥️

I found myself pretty melancholy yesterday as I finally had time to breathe this week. πŸ˜” It’s been a very busy & stressful week for me. Life and responsibilities I have had have pulled me every direction, leaving me drained, emotional, and ragged. 😡‍πŸ’« Today as I finally had time to stop, be still, & breathe, the tears just came. I found myself crying. That’s usually what happens when life gets a little bit too hard to handle. I completely break down. I know this life is supposed to be challenging. I know it’s supposed to be hard. I know it’s supposed to be “for our good” & the hard times are supposed to help make us strong. I also know that when the hard times come, and they will, they give us an opportunity to get down on our knees and ask for God’s help. When life is going good, at times we forget to do that as much. We think we can do it all by ourselves, and we do. But you know what? We can’t do it alone. We need God in our lives so desperately.  I don’t claim to...

Hope: it’s what gets me through πŸ₯°

I had some time this morning as I was waiting for my oil change to walk to the temple. ♥️ The temple has been my refuge this last year, especially while it’s been closed. Crazy how we can still find peace when it’s closed. I have found myself just driving over and sitting in the parking lot or sitting on the bench outside. I feel so much peace when I’m here. ☀️πŸ₯Ί It’s been a place where I can commune with God. I know He is listening and  that no matter what is happening in my life, God is aware of me. I feel His love and know that He is guiding me on this journey called life. πŸ™πŸ»  As I sat on the bench this morning, reading out of a book called “Look up my soul, the diving promise of hope” by Gerald Lund, this poem written by Samuel Smiles stuck out to me: “Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey towards it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us… Hope sweetens the memory of experiences well loved. It tempers our troubles to our growth and our strength. It befriend...
