The power of prayer πŸ™πŸ»

Last night as I was visiting with my sister, we were talking about how hard life has been lately. She moved home this last week and we have both been a wreck. I miss my little sissy so much. It’s been HARD. Then again, change is always hard. We were reminiscing about how blessed we’ve been the last 7 months to live with each other and grow together. If my life had gone the way I thought it was going to go, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to live together and become so close. For that I am eternally grateful. Our relationship has been strengthened so much and we’ve been so blessed. She has been struggling with moving home, and I have as well because of her leaving, but we both felt at peace. And she felt like it was the right thing to do.  Sometimes God asks us to do hard things. He doesn’t give an explanation as to the WHY He is asking. Just that, He is asking. He is asking us to be obedient and to follow Him. He is asking us to TRUST Him. He wants to know if we will ...

Put your shoulder to the wheel, push along. 😌

These last couple of weeks have left me speechless. Life has kicked my trash. As I sit and ponder of the experiences and the afflictions that I’ve been called to bear as of late, I think of the emotions I’ve had that have been so abnormal to me. The frustration, the anger, the impatience, and the sadness of how I feel about my life, and where it is going. It has all been so new to me. This foreign experience that I’ve never had to worry about.  I like to think that I am a pretty happy person 90% of the time. The other 10%? The emotions I mentioned above. As I was sitting at the kitchen table yesterday morning listening to a conference talk on patience, I received a spiritual slap in the face. Elder Wirthlin’s talk entitled “patience, a key to happiness” was the talk I was listening to when the spiritual slap came along. There was a part in his talk that said “a word about patience with our Heavenly Father and his plan of eternal progression. How incredibly foolish to be i...

The inner workings of my soul 😌

I know I’ve written about the love that God has for us before, but as of late I’ve seen His hand in my life and the love that He has for me even more. It’s been this HUGE thing! I’ve been taking an institute class called Jesus Christ and the everlasting gospel. It’s really had a big impact on me. My teacher, Brother Hunsaker, tells us about these things called word of wisdom lessons. Basically his students will have lessons taught to them by the spirit- things that that specific individual needs. It’s what the Holy Ghost has taught them.  I had one of these experiences a couple weeks ago. It was quite beautiful. Our lesson was on the creation. As we were taught more about how God created the earth and how He created man and woman - I remember getting this overwhelming feeling that God was aware of me. He created ME. He knew what was going on in my life, what I would experience, the choices I would make- he literally was and is in the details of my life. Most importantly, I kne...

If God brings you to it, He’ll bring you through it

Well, life is quite good at throwing you twists and turns, uphills and downs, curves and bends, and then of course, the drop offs. I think of the quote from Emperor’s New Groove when Pacha and Kuzco are strapped together on a tree branch floating in a river and a big waterfall is coming up really explains what I was thinking.  Pacha: Uh-oh.  Kuzco: Don't tell me. We're about to go over a huge waterfall.  Pacha: Yep.  Kuzco: Sharp rocks at the bottom?  Pacha: Most likely.  Kuzco: Bring it on. (boo-ya!) See in the pre-earth life, Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ told us that there were going be trials and experiences that we were going to have to go through. They were going to be trying, hard, and downright excruciating at times. There are going to be times when we are going to have to go over those “waterfalls” in life. We won't be able to stop it from happening to us. We need those trials to become the sons and daughters that God ...

Weakness. Not giving up!

Why is it that we as humans are so darn weak? (Mark 14:38) Over and over again we commit the same mistake or sin. We tell ourselves we aren’t going to let it happen and then BAM- it happens again.  We live in such a society that us trying our best, is not good enough. We have to be perfect. Flawless. And without mistake. Or else everyone around you will think less of you and or judge you. We are so focused on that perfection, we forget how far we’ve come what we’ve already accomplished. REMEMBER, we’re our worst critic! Accentuate the positive. Don’t dwell on the negative. If you fail, or make a mistake, pick yourself up and move forward. Don’t get stuck in the past. Each day we have on earth is a gift. Cherish that!  I’m so grateful for a Savior, for Jesus Christ. For His willingness and the decision that He made to atone for my sins. Elder Holland had a talk that mentioned us being in debt to Him. We indeed are in debt to our Savior Jesus Christ. He has alread...

God’s amazing plan

Most of my posts start off with me thinking. πŸ€” Isn’t that how it all happens? My mind gets going and I have little sweet and tender mercies that come. I realize how full my heart is. It is full of the wonderful love of my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. It is full of the sweet blessings that come to me and those hugs that I feel from God. It is full of the gratitude I have for the plan that God has for me and my life. And for those mini miracles that happen on a daily basis. Those reminders of God’s abounding love. I get to a point where I just have to share!  I have been thinking lately about just how much Heavenly Father is AWARE of you and I. He knows what is going on in our lives- down to the very detail. He knows what we are stressed out about, what we are struggling with, what gets on our nerves, what makes us laugh, and most especially, He knows the desires of our hearts. I am so grateful that God knows ME. He knows what I want in life and He knows how I ...

God’s Love ♥️

Gods love The experiences that I have had in my life thus far have made me who I am. Sometimes I go off the path and make choices I know I shouldn’t make. I come to a realization that what I’m doing is not what I should be doing. I repent and get back on the path. A pathway that is filled with the love from our Heavenly Father. He always welcomes me back with open arms and a smile on His face, even though sometimes I don’t feel like He should. He does anyway and I am once again back in His arms of a never ending love.  This life is full of surprises, twists and turns, round abouts, and challenges. What we thought we wanted, we soon realize is not what we wanted at all. God knows that. He knows what we want, He knows the desires of our hearts, and He knows how to help you and I to get there. All we have to do is ask.  I am humbled and feel the love that God has for me, as I am inspired to share my thoughts and feelings about the LOVE that God has for each of us. It...
