LIFE, it’s what’s we make it. ☀️👊🏻


It’s the little things in life that make my day. 💗 I’ve had some friends reach out recently that I haven’t talked to in a while. Their timing was perfect and I couldn’t help but see God working through them for me. Little old me. They reached out with love and kindness and it has reminded me that God does hear our prayers, knows our struggles, and truly does succor His people in times of need.


Life is going to be hard. We ALL know and understand this. As of late, life has been hard for so many of us. Losing loved ones, losing jobs, having discouraging moments in dating, living in today’s hectic world, trying to forgive others and yourself and the list just keeps going.


I’ve had some family members of some dear friends pass away in the last week and it’s got me thinking. Life is way to short to be anything other than happy. We go through trials, grief, and suffering to become better. And at times it can be consuming. But one thing that pops into my head, is that with God, we are never alone. He sends us the Comforter, the Holy Ghost to do just that. Comfort us. ♥️


John 14:26-27 says: “But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give them to you: Not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.“


Life is too short to be miserable. Too short to stay at a job that you don’t love. Too short to be mad at ones you care about. Too short to hold grudges. Too short to complain... And the list goes on and on and on.


The purpose of our lives is to learn and to grow. To love and to laugh. To have challenges and trials that help us become better, and to have JOY. ☀️ Gordon B. Hinckley said: “Life is meant to be enjoyed, not endured.”   


Does this mean that we won’t have to endure hard things at different times in our lives? Definitely not. But it does mean that we have a choice in how we react to what happens to us. WE are in charge of that aspect! 


I truly believe that we do not just happen upon a happy life. It won’t just come into our laps. We have to work at it, and CHOOSE for ourselves to be happy. Having money, having relationships or the lack thereof, and having successes in our lives, isn’t a guarantee we will be happy. It’s our choice whether we are happy or not.


Life is what we make it, my friends and it’s the only one we have! So!! Trust in God, His timing, His plan for you, live worthy to have the guiding companionship of the Holy Ghost in your life, serve others, and cherish those people that mean the most to you. Because these things are what life is ALL about. ♥️

God is love ❤️

 I recently attended the funeral services of Cason’s uncle that unexpectedly passed away. Even though I didn’t know him super well, he was such a kind man! Tears fell as the talks, memories, and testimonies of his family, grandchildren, and friends were shared. I walked away feeling so uplifted ❤️🙏🏻 it was such a spiritual funeral. I think that’s the point, when loved ones pass, is to get you to reflect on your own life and the people around you. I felt so much love that day-So much care and concern that God is aware, He is in control, and He knows what we are all going through! I know God has a plan for each of His beloved children. I know He loves each and every single one of YOU! Yes, YOU. I know that not a tear falls that He doesn’t know about or of a hurtful thought that was said to you. He celebrates the good times and is there for us in the bitter times. He finds joy in the things that make us laugh and in the people we help along the way. He truly is our biggest fan and cheer

LIVE ☀️

  New post: I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting recently and realized that it’s been a while since I’ve felt inspired to write a new post.  Hardships and loss, like most thought provoking experiences we are all going to get to go through, bring lots of reflection. Loss of a loved one, compassion for those experiencing the loss, and the sorrow and grief that come along, that you don’t quite understand and realize, until you go through it yourself.  Death and change, ironically, make you think and reflect on your own life. The impact you make, the example you set, the kindness you show, the love you give freely, and the acts of service you show to others.  It (hopefully) makes you want you try harder. To be a little better. To love more. To give more. To serve more. To LIVE more. To not let the opportunities pass you by. To spend more time with the ones you love.
