Tender mercies and BFF’s!
These 2 beauties are the BEST friends anyone could ask for. I met Amy and her family in kindergarten and we’ve been the best of friends ever since. We make time for each other, both give 100%, and are there for each other. It really has been the most PERFECT friendship.
During this whole pandemic, Amy, Emily, and I have done daily scripture study over zoom. There have been a couple days where we haven’t had it, but we’ve been going strong for the past couple months. Being able to read the scriptures, share our testimonies and life experiences, as well as lifting one another up, has been amazing. 🙏🏻 We’re there for each other. We strengthen each other, and we understand and are there for one another.
Lately I have felt a disconnect between God and I. I don’t know how to describe it, but this morning Amy shared an experience and she said all the right things I needed to hear. She was crying, I was crying, and sweet Emily was just taking it all in. It was exactly what I needed to hear the moment I needed it. 😭♥️ I was filled with the Holy Ghost and was reminded just how much God does love me. He knows where I am in life, He has something wonderful prepared for me. I just need to hold on.
It was such a tender mercy! 1 Nephi 1:20 was the scripture that popped into my head as Amy was sharing. It says “... But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance.”
I’m so grateful that Heavenly Father blesses us with friends. Those that love and accept you no matter what. Truth is, we need each other. God knew I needed Amy and Emily and their families in my life. What a ride it’s been! I know God knows you. He cares about the little things that YOU care about and He loves you so much. Just look around, I promise you’ll feel it. ♥️
