Here a little, there a little ☀️

The future is at times a scary thing. I sometimes get so caught up in the “what if’s” that I forget to live in the present. I recently read a talked by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland entitled “The best is yet to come”

He says: "Some of you may wonder: Is there any future for me? What does a new year or a new semester, a new major or a new romance, a new job or a new home hold for me? Will I be safe? Will life be sound? Can I trust in the Lord and in the future? Or would it be better to look back, to go back, to stay in the past?

To all such of every generation, I call out, “Remember Lot’s wife.” Faith is for the future. Faith builds on the past but never longs to stay there. Faith trusts that God has great things in store for each of us and that Christ truly is the “high priest of good things to come” (Hebrews 9:11).

Keep your eyes on your dreams, however distant and far away. Live to see the miracles of repentance and forgiveness, of trust and divine love that will transform your life today, tomorrow, and forever. That is a New Year’s resolution I ask you to keep." ♥️

This new year brings new possibilities. New opportunities to have greater faith and trust in God. Friends- we may at times feel like we are just wandering around, and that we don’t have a purpose. I know that we do have a purpose. There is a plan, and we need to trust God. He knows the way, and He will give us peace and reassurance when we feel like we are stumbling around in the dark. Keep doing what you know is right and God will continue to bless you. He will guide you and He will send you help, little by little.

D&C 29: 39 “...for if they never should have bitter they could not know the sweet—“

We need to know what it is like (all the trials, the fear, the loneliness, the sadness, the times we wander, & etc.) to appreciate the peace, light, guidance, and the good times. Greater SORROW prepares us for greater JOY.

The answers you are seeking WILL come. But just like the rising and setting of the sun, it comes gradually. Not all at once. Here a little, there a little. (2 Nephi 28:30) continue in patience and faith my friends! And most importantly, don’t give up! 🌅☀️🙏🏻🥰
