Keeping the commandments of God really does bring joy.
As my mind has thought about things lately, I’ve been trying to understand more why our loving Heavenly Father gives us commandments. We are taught that in Mosiah 2:41 “And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the BLESSED and HAPPY state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness....”
The opportunity God has given me to be a seminary student teacher has blown my mind. I have learned so much already. Being in this position has made me want to try even harder to keep God’s commandments. #1 so that I can be worthy to teach with the spirit. And #2 so I can be an instrument in the Lord’s hands. Doing this, I’ve noticed that I’ve just been happier. Happier with where my life is, happier with what is happening and what isn’t happening in my life. I’m so grateful blessed brothers and sisters. I know that God will bless you if you keep His commandments. He sees your sacrifices and your small strides you’re taking to become better. Also don’t ever give up hope, if you’re not where you should be right now, repent and come back to Him. He is always waiting for us to come to Him. ♥️😁
My experience of being a student teaching for seminary is coming to a close this week at Box Elder. Words cannot describe how I feel! 😭☀️☺️🙏🏻I have LOVED this short and sweet opportunity. I never thought I’d be teaching high school kids the gospel 😜but I love it! I have been able to feel the love that God has for each of them. I’ve been able to have a glimpse and a taste of how amazing that is. When I first started and told my students to never forget these 2 things- they are #1 remember that God is aware of you #2 He is aware of you. Words that I try to live by and something that I felt they all needed to hear. I love my seminary kids so much! And I know that my Heavenly Father does too. Gods love is there ALWAYS. I look forward to my next journey of student teaching in Garland and I am excited to see what God has in store for me!
