Waiting upon the Lord doesn’t mean to just sit and wait around.

I got to thinking the last couple of days that yes my Heavenly Father loves me so much, and He has a plan for me, but! He wants me to make decisions, use my agency, trust Him, and not be idle. He wants me to make the most of what I have been given and make the most of my life. In Isaiah 40:31, it says “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.” 

The word wait, in Hebrew means to hope for or anticipate. It doesn’t mean, wait around and do nothing. I have been guilty of waiting around and doing nothing. Waiting for the Lord to bless me with what I desire most. I put things off that I would like to do. I put off making decisions because I thought my life would go a different direction. Anyone ever think that once you’ve graduated or get married or whatever the case is that your life will begin? Then you’ll be happy?

As I was driving home from Provo yesterday, I had this epiphany: God doesn’t want me to put my life off. This is IT! This is MY life. It’s not a test run, or a free trial and no I can’t get my money back. THIS IS IT. So what am I going to do?!


The exact same amount of time is going to pass no matter if I have a good attitude or a bad attitude, but I have been learning that serving God and His children is such a more fulfilling and productive way to wait. Our Heavenly Father wants to bless us- He wants us to be happy 😃 He is waiting for us to be patient, to keep the commandments, to strengthen our relationship with Him because He wants to give us what we desire most. But we have to WAIT. ♥️ live your life friends- each day to the fullest, because you only have one.

God is love ❤️

 I recently attended the funeral services of Cason’s uncle that unexpectedly passed away. Even though I didn’t know him super well, he was such a kind man! Tears fell as the talks, memories, and testimonies of his family, grandchildren, and friends were shared. I walked away feeling so uplifted ❤️🙏🏻 it was such a spiritual funeral. I think that’s the point, when loved ones pass, is to get you to reflect on your own life and the people around you. I felt so much love that day-So much care and concern that God is aware, He is in control, and He knows what we are all going through! I know God has a plan for each of His beloved children. I know He loves each and every single one of YOU! Yes, YOU. I know that not a tear falls that He doesn’t know about or of a hurtful thought that was said to you. LIVE ☀️

  New post: I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting recently and realized that it’s been a while since I’ve felt inspired to write a new post.  Hardships and loss, like most thought provoking experiences we are all going to get to go through, bring lots of reflection. Loss of a loved one, compassion for those experiencing the loss, and the sorrow and grief that come along, that you don’t quite understand and realize, until you go through it yourself.  Death and change, ironically, make you think and reflect on your own life. The impact you make, the example you set, the kindness you show, the love you give freely, and the acts of service you show to others.  It (hopefully) makes you want you try harder.
