Waiting upon the Lord doesn’t mean to just sit and wait around.
I got to thinking the last couple of days that yes my Heavenly Father loves me so much, and He has a plan for me, but! He wants me to make decisions, use my agency, trust Him, and not be idle. He wants me to make the most of what I have been given and make the most of my life. In Isaiah 40:31, it says “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.” The word wait, in Hebrew means to hope for or anticipate. It doesn’t mean, wait around and do nothing. I have been guilty of waiting around and doing nothing. Waiting for the Lord to bless me with what I desire most. I put things off that I would like to do. I put off making decisions because I thought my life would go a different direction.
